The BIST 100, a benchmark index of 100 of the largest companies listed on the Borsa Istanbul (BIST), declined by 0.77% or 81 points to close at 10,400 on Friday, May 31st.
The index has been under pressure in recent weeks due to concerns over the global economic outlook and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Despite the decline, the BIST 100 has outperformed many other global markets this year, gaining over 10% year-to-date.
